What makes ADA Cosmetics’ new hygienic pump technology better than other pump dispenser alternatives? To better understand the problems with standard pump dispensers and pioneer a solution to eliminate those prevalent issues, ADA Cosmetics recruited the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences to perform an independent hygiene study.

In the hygiene study, a total of 57 refillable liquid soap pump dispensers and 47 non-refillable press dispensers were collected from hotels throughout Germany and tested. The results were quite alarming, with high levels of harmful contamination found in 67% of the refillable pump dispensers, while none was detected in any of the non-refillable press dispensers.

With the results of this study, ADA Cosmetics had the information they needed to innovate a revolutionary new technology to prevent contamination in refillable liquid pump dispensers.
