ADA Cosmetics to support the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)
ADA Cosmetics, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of hotel cosmetics, is taking a further step towards corporate social responsibility by supporting the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. After ADA Cosmetics became the first company in the industry to publish a CSR report on the year 2022, this once again underlines the company’s commitment to greater sustainability and social responsibility.
By supporting the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), ADA Cosmetics integrates them into the company’s strategy, culture, and day-to-day operations, and engages in collaborative projects which advance the broader development goals of the United Nations, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ADA Cosmetics thus continues to play a pioneering role in vigorously transforming the industry towards sustainability.
“As an internationally active company and a leading player in the global hospitality industry, we are aware of our responsibilities towards the environment and society,” says Lutz Hübner, CEO at ADA Cosmetics. “We are proud to have taken another important step in the right direction by supporting the Ten Principles of the UNGC, and our human rights policy statement has been updated with this commitment.”
“We can proudly say that we published the industry’s first CSR report last year, sharing our approach, our learnings and our progress, and we strive to improve every day. Our new 2023 report will be published this summer,” Hübner continues.
Good reasons for a good cause: Benefits of joining the UN Global Compact
By participating in the United Nations Global Compact initiative, ADA Cosmetics clearly demonstrates a commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. More than this, the company seizes the opportunity to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk by promoting best practices in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption. Businesses joining UNGC initiative also benefit from a global network of like-minded companies, UN agencies and NGOs, providing a network for exchange and partnerships to learn and share best practices. Engaging with the Global Compact helps companies align their strategies with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This contribution supports broader global efforts to build a more sustainable and equitable future.
ADA Cosmetics unveils trailblazing new CSR report
ADA Cosmetics’ 2023 Sustainability Report is set to be published this summer. It is already the second voluntarily published report, after last year the company was the first in the industry to provide such documentation on environmentally friendly measures and goals. ADA Cosmetics has long been taking concrete steps to minimise its environmental impact. Transparent adherence to ethical principles and responsible sourcing of skincare ingredients, combined with advanced and resource-efficient dispensing solutions, puts the company at the forefront of sustainable practices. The report for 2021-2022 is available for download.
