The events will provide skincare kits with Fairtrade-certified body care products and recycled soaps. Local charities Tafel and Restos du Cœur will distribute these gifts to needy families. This initiative highlights ADA Cosmetics' commitment to social responsibility, sustainability, and community empowerment.
As part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community support, ADA Cosmetics is teaming up with SapoCycle. This Swiss-based charity repurposes discarded hotel soaps into life-saving hygiene products for needy people. ADA Cosmetics and SapoCycle are set to launch two donation events, one in Germany and one in France, to improve sanitary conditions for vulnerable families. These initiatives are a testament to ADA Cosmetics’ dedication to sustainability, community support, and responsible product sourcing.
On November 29, 2024, ADA Cosmetics will host the first donation event at its headquarters in Kehl, Germany. SapoCycle representatives will join the market leader in making five hundred gift bags filled with recycled soaps by SoapCycle, Fairtrade-certified cosmetics, and pairs of socks from ADA Cosmetics. Each gift includes shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner, ensuring recipients receive high-quality hygiene essentials. The bags will be donated by SapoCycle and ADA Cosmetics team members at the German charity Tafel in Kehl and distributed to local families in need.
The second event will take place on December 6 in Colmar, France, at ADAPEI Papillons Blancs Esat, the site of the soap recycling workshop in France. Five hundred gift bags, packed with the same skincare content and warm socks, are being prepared for donation. The SapoCycle team and ADA Cosmetics employees will distribute these thoughtful gifts at Restos du Cœur, a respected French charity dedicated to supporting needy people, especially during the holiday season.
The skincare products donated at these events are part of ADA Cosmetics’ brand, FAIR CosmEthics. They are Fairtrade-certified and made with high-quality, ethically sourced ingredients. This certification ensures that every product supports fair wages and safe working conditions for farmers and workers along the supply chain. ADA Cosmetics believes that delivering care products should also promote fairness and social equity, aligning with its broader mission of ethical responsibility in every aspect of production.
SapoCycle specializes in collecting discarded soap from hotels and recycling it through a meticulous process that employs adults with disabilities. Each soap bar undergoes rigorous cleaning and transformation to ensure hygiene and quality. By working locally in each country, SapoCycle maximizes its impact, efficiently collecting, recycling, and distributing soaps to improve sanitary conditions for families and communities in need. This partnership with ADA Cosmetics highlights a shared commitment to community empowerment, sustainability, and health.
With initiatives like this, ADA Cosmetics is reinforcing its dedication to social responsibility as outlined in its 2023 Sustainability Report. By collaborating with organizations like SapoCycle and supporting Fairtrade practices, ADA Cosmetics aims to make a positive difference locally and globally. This commitment to giving back reflects ADA Cosmetics’ core belief that true sustainability extends beyond environmental practices to encompass ethical and social responsibility.

SapoCycle is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving hygiene and environmental sustainability by recycling discarded hotel soaps. Founded in 2014 by Dorothée Schiesser-Peyrouzet, the organization collects used soaps from European hotels, reprocesses them, and distributes the recycled products to needy children and families. The recycling process is managed by adults with disabilities, providing them with stable employment opportunities. SapoCycle's efforts have significantly reduced CO₂ emissions, as recycling used soaps emits 90% less CO₂ than incineration. The organization collaborates with various partners, including hotels, logistics companies, and distribution organizations, to maximize its impact. Through its "Bubbles Saving Lives" program, SapoCycle addresses environmental challenges and public health issues, making a meaningful contribution to society.

]]>Visitors to this year’s "Alles für den Gast," taking place from November 9 to 13, 2024, in Salzburg, can look forward to an exciting new product from ADA Cosmetics Refillution. The market leader in hotel cosmetics and hygienic dispenser systems is setting new standards in efficiency, sustainability, and hygiene with its automated refill system. Additionally, attendees can discover further innovations and exclusive collections at Hall 6, Stand 137.
For 45 years, ADA Cosmetics has been a pioneer in sustainable and hygienic dispenser systems, and at "Alles für den Gast," they’re presenting the world’s first automatic refill concept for cosmetic dispensers. The refill machine enables dispensers to be reused instead of discarded, saving time and resources while significantly reducing plastic waste.
"We’re excited to introduce ADA Cosmetics Refillution in Salzburg and showcase the many benefits of this innovative system to hoteliers," says Lutz Hübner, CEO of ADA Cosmetics. "The new refill machine is simple and intuitive to use, with a high-resolution display that can be customized to match each hotel’s brand — and this is just the beginning. We are confident that our innovation will transform the hotel cosmetics industry worldwide."
Thanks to new patented technology, ADA Cosmetics Refillution automatically refills a 300 ml dispenser in just six seconds. Equipped with a medical-grade peristaltic pump and a one-piece elastomer valve that prevents backflow, the system ensures perfect hygiene. Compared to mini cosmetic bottles, it also reduces plastic waste by 95% and is fully compatible with the advanced dispenser systems SmartCare, SHAPE, and the mono-material pump dispensers, which are scientifically proven to prevent health-compromising contamination.
The refill machine is exclusively compatible with ADA Cosmetics' 10-liter product containers, which can be fully emptied, reducing liquid waste by up to 30%. At the same time, the ADA Cosmetics Refillution refill process allows hotels to save 30% on their spending on hotel cosmetics.
ADA Cosmetics offers hoteliers the unique opportunity with ADA Atelier to create their own personalized cosmetics line that perfectly matches their brand identity. The process begins with selecting a signature fragrance, followed by choosing one of three globally leading dispenser systems in vibrant, personalized colors, and ends with a custom-designed label.
The ADA Atelier service offers a broad range of products—from shampoo and conditioner to body lotion—all developed with the highest sustainability standards. ADA Cosmetics is the only company in the hotel cosmetics industry whose product portfolio is certified with the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Silver label.
Alongside ADA Cosmetics Refillution and ADA Atelier, the "Alles für den Gast" trade fair will showcase exciting new brands from the company. This includes Native Nature, a 100% upcycled fragrance featuring refreshing notes of recycled sandalwood, pine needles, and cedarwood. Created exclusively from recycled or repurposed ingredients, the invigorating woody scent of this body care line allows hotel guests to feel the power of the forest, providing an unforgettable relaxation experience that harmonizes body and mind.
Furthermore, ADA Cosmetics is presenting two new hotel cosmetics collections, which are proven to enhance well-being with Actimood® technology. The first ADA Cosmetics brand to feature the beneficial effects of Actimood® technology is ELEMENT_RY — a harmonious fragrance experience of fresh fig, warm sandalwood, cardamom, and osmanthus. ADA Cosmetics' new collection, created in collaboration with the renowned French spa brand Yon-Ka, was specifically designed to promote restful sleep and reduce stress with its calming lavender scent.
With its innovations, as well as the quality and depth of its product portfolio, ADA Cosmetics underscores its position as a leading provider of sustainable and high-quality hotel cosmetics.

]]>For the first time, ADA Cosmetics adds a Chinese brand to its world-class portfolio. Hotel guests across Asia and beyond will soon experience the vibrant sensorial world of Shanghai-based handhandhand for themselves, thanks to a luxurious amenities line.
Creativity, artistry and a sense of daring inspire China’s handhandhand – a young and exciting innovator in the designer fragrance space. The pioneering brand continues its bold evolution, joining forces with ADA Cosmetics to develop a debut hotel collection.
An immersive world of fragrance, born in Shanghai
Founded by three designers in Shanghai in 2017, handhandhand takes an instinctive, emotional and design-led approach to fragrance. With an exclusive product range including beautifully crafted candles, room scents and skincare, the distinctive Chinese brand also collaborates with a different artist each year.
handhandhand is guided by the principle that design is a series of conscious and unconscious impulses that begin in the heart, move through the mind, and take shape through the hands. The name handhandhand is drawn from its founders’ belief that the hands connect to all the senses.
A great deal of artisan craftsmanship is incorporated into the brand’s design process, playing with the nuances that transform an idea into a tangible scent, texture and form.
A unique sensory experience to move the emotions
“In just seven years, handhandhand has established a strong position in the fragrance world, creating extraordinary products that appeal to all the senses,” says Gerd von Podewils, CMO of ADA Cosmetics. “We see huge potential in this partnership, our first with a Chinese brand.”
“Scent is nothing without imagination,” says Chinlun Shen, Founder & Creative Director of handhandhand. “We believe that fragrance is first and foremost an emotional experience, and look forward to introducing our unique concept to hotels around the world.”
Coming soon to hotel bathrooms worldwide
The handhandhand amenities collection will be launched by ADA Cosmetics in autumn 2024. Initially exclusive to the APAC region, the line will be available on demand to boutique, designer and distinctive luxury hotels worldwide later in the year.
